Learning foreign languages improves students’ communication skills and enhances their self confidence. Therefore, we at Rosary School teach French as a second language starting from the elementary stage until they graduate with the DELF diploma.

DELF: Diplôme d’Etude en Langue Française.
The DELF is a modern diploma designed to assess the communicative skills of non-native students in real situations. The diploma is administered by the International Center for French Studies (CIEP). The Diploma is awarded by the French Ministry of Education and recognized around the world.

The DELF diploma evaluates the basic know-how of the language rather the formal grammatical knowledge. It tests the students’ ability to use French in real-life situations. It is composed of four independent diplomas corresponding to the first four levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CECR): A1, A2, B1, and B2.

Each level assesses the four language skills: comprehension, writing, listening and oral.
